Pawel Rogalinski: “Many politicians know the ‘Journalistic Review'”

It is hard to measure “Journalistic Review’s” social and political impact. Also politicians often don’t want to admit that their decisions and views have been affected by anybody. Yet the majority of former and current Members of the Polish Parliament (Sejm and Senate) and several Members of the European Parliament know our website and regularly read entries published in the “Journalistic Review”.

Many Polish and European politicians have also cooperated in different ways with the “Journalistic Review / Przegląd Dziennikarski” (for example asked us to help them promote some important event, to publish some information on the website, sent their comment on something, agreed to conduct an exclusive interview with them on some important topic, etc). These have been so far e.g.:
– Jerzy Buzek, President of the European Parliament between 2009 and 2012
– Emily O’Reilly, European Ombudsman
– Vladimir Spidla, Prime Minister of the Czech Republic from July 2002 to June 2004 and a European Commissioner for Employment, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities from November 2004 to February 2010
– Laszlo Andor, Commissioner for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion in the Barroso II administration of the European Commission; from 2005 until 2010 he was a Member of the Board of Directors of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development
– Jacek Saryusz-Wolski, Vice President of the European Parliament (2004–2007)
– Lidia Geringer de Oedenberg, MEP and a Quaestor to the European Parliament
– Pawel Tanajno, candidate for the President of Poland in 2015
– many politicians, MPs and MEPs (e.g. Sean Kelly, Jaroslaw Duda, Rafal Trzaskowski, prof. Joanna Senyszyn, Joanna Skrzydlewska, prof. Magdalena Środa, prof. Zdzisława Janowska, Timothy Kirkhope, Ryszard Petru and many others).

Today “Journalistic Review’s” impact on the political scene is definitely noticeable and our ambition is to develop the initiative and to engage more experts and politicians in our project.
